Michigan opens as 7.5 favorite over Florida State

According to multiple sports books, #6 Michigan has opened up as a 7.5-point favorite against #11 Florida State for the Orange Bowl. 

Michigan finished the regular season with a 10-2 record, road losses to Iowa and #3 Ohio State. Both losses were handed to the Wolverines in November.

Florida State ended their campaign with a 9-3 record with losses to #2 Clemson, #13 Louisville, and North Carolina. 

Michigan is 6-6 against the spread in 2016; while Florida State is 7-5 for this regular season against the spread, they are 2-2 in covering it in their last four bowl matchups. 

Michigan delivered a rout to Florida in the Citrus Bowl on New Year’s Day this year, and looks to hand another Florida team a similar result. 

Michigan to take on Florida State in Orange Bowl


On Sunday, it was announced that the #6 ranked Michigan Wolverines will head to Miami to take on the 11th ranked Seminoles of Florida State on December 30th.

This will be the first meeting between Jim Harbaugh, and Jimbo Fisher; the second post season meeting between Jim Harbaugh and a football team from Florida.

Jim Harbaugh will look to improve to an 11-2 record, and earn his 2nd bowl game victory at Michigan.
